iDou


iDou are an incarnation of Abdoujaparov which involves Les Carter, Richie Crockford and an iPod Shuffle. Abdoujaparov are a punk band formed on October 19, 1998 by ex-Carter USM guitarist Les Carter (aka Fruitbat). Abdoujaparov's musical foundations are the joyous and shambolic influences of 1977 punk rock - fast, raucous and sometimes a bit country. The lyrics are rude, tender, funny and sometimes just plain bad. So far six EPs, a single and two albums have been released on Spinach Records. A compilation CD featuring tracks from the first 3 EPc was released by Pop Gun in Australia. The band has toured the UK, Germany, Australia and America. Les and guitarist Richy Crockford have recorded and toured under the name iDou, which consists of the two of them playing guitars over a backing track supplied by an iPod Shuffle.
