Yoonie


Shin Ji-yoon (Hangul: 신지윤), also known as Yoonie (유니) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper and producer born on March 2, 2002. She is a former member of the girl group Weeekly. In October 2017 she appeared as a contestant on the JTBC x YG Entertainment survival show MIXNINE. She was eliminated in episode 10, ranking 44th place. On October 24th, 2018, Yoonie (formerly Jiyoon) was revealed as the fourth member of FAVEGIRLS, a pre-debut girl group under FAVE Entertainment. After merging FAVE Entertainment with Plan A Entertainment in 2019 and becoming IST Entertainment, the group name was changed to PlayM GIRLS and their debut was delayed. On June 30, 2020, Weeekly debuted with the mini album We are. On June 1, 2022, IST Entertainment released a statement stating that as of today, Jiyoon will be ending her activities as a member of Weeekly. After discussing with Jiyoon, her family, and medical experts on if she was ready to resume activites, it was decided it would be best for her to continue receiving treatment in an environment that helps her mental health. She made her solo debut on April 9, 2024 with the digital single "Yellow Light" featuring YANGJEONGMAN. On September 15, 2024, she released her second single Madagascar. Read more on Last.fm.
