Ouseppachan


Ouseappachan (ഔസേപ്പച്ചന്‍ in Malayalam) is a Kerala State Film Award-winning Indian music director who sets scores for Malayalam films. He is one of the most sought after musicians in the Malayalam film industry. Ouseppachan was born to Mecheri Lewis and Mathiri on 13 September 1955 in Ollur, Thrissur, Kerala, India[1]. He completed his formal education from Saint Thomas College, Thrissur. He was interested in music and by the time he finished his formal education, he had become an expert violinist. He started his music career as violinist in some music troupes. Later he got the chance to be the violinist in concerts of renowned playback singer Madhuri. He later became the violinist under music director Paravoor Devarajan master[1]. Then he moved to Madras, Tamilnadu where most of the recording works of Malayalam films were done. He debut work in film industry started with the film Enam for which hes set the background score. He debuted as music director with Kathodu Kathoram (1985), directed by Bharathan.
